My collection of pinback buttons issued in opposition to the Vietnam War

At this point there are nine main cases and three auxiliary cases, arranged chronologically and a couple topically. Not every pin is positively from the year(s) of the case it is displayed in, as some generic types were obviously issued over a period of years and in some cases it is almost impossible to be that specific.  There are several secondary cases I am in the process of imaging and this cyber exhibit is still under construction.  If you see something and feel I have it in the wrong chronological order, please let me know.

New: I am updating the exhibit with two images of each case. The first image will be approximately 1400x1100 pixels and the second image will be approximately 800x650 pixels. ***Case image updated June 30, 2008.

Case 1L  Case 1S  : 1963-1966 plus Student Peace Union (SPU).  ***

Case 2L  Case 2S  :  1967 plus some miscellaneous peace pins and pins from Underground Uplift Unlimited (UUU), the famous head shop in Greenwich Village.  ***

Case 3L  Case 3S  :  1968-early 1969 plus most Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) and more misc pins

Case 4L  Case 4S  :  1969 October - December (what may seem like an un-related pin is anything but : LXIX was my draft number in the first lottery which took place on Dec 1, 1969: June 13).

Case 5L  Case 5S  :  1970  (The only demonstration that I have never seen a pin from is the Washington DC demonstration/march on May 9, which I attended after being on strike all that week at Bucknell University).  The Strike BU pins are Boston University.  I'm wondering if the plain one is from later, perhaps 1971 or 1972 based on its construction. ***

Case 6L  Case 6S  :  1971 (The demonstration on April 24 was the biggest one I remember. 1234WDWYFW).  ***

Case 7L  Case 7S  :  1972-1973 (See this page for some pictures and commentary on the January 20, 1973 counter-inaugural march: http://www.mindyourbusiness.com/january20.htm ). ***

Case 8L  Case 8S  :   Groups for Peace and some miscellaneous I haven't determined a year for.

Case 9L  Case 9S  :  The Resistance, Anti-draft, and GI causes.

Case 10 (Riker):  A group of mostly 'draft beer, not me' types and a few other anti-draft types.

Case 11 (Riker):  A group of mostly variations on the 1969 Moratorium dove types, with a few other earlier dated ones and a few miscellaneous larger 3" pins.

Case 12 (Riker): These aren't directly Vietnam related but are my meager collection of Civil Rights and Black Power related pins.

I am working on what will be main case 10, so there will soon be all new images as I rearrange some things.

I have a want list of pins that I am actively seeking.  Enjoy.
